1-2 Day Gynae Cytology Update for Checkers and Experienced BMS staff
A one or two day course aimed specifically at those intending to, or already acting as Checkers, but also of value to all experienced staff.
Day one will concentrate on basic histopathology, covering CIN, CGIN and cancer and more difficult areas through both lecture and multiheader sessions together with an interactive self-assessment quiz.
Day two will concentrate on challenging cases with chance to assess the role of a checker and to investigate the types of change that can lead to overcall. There will be a session on statistics and performance monitoring in the cervical screening programme, including discussion of checker statistics.
