This programme is a modular approach to learning for CPD and examination preparation.

The comprehensive course offers theoretical knowledge of both the mandatory and optional modules covered by the IBMS/RCPath Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological Dissection.

It is tailored to suit Biomedical Scientists who are already working, or who intend to train, in histological dissection, but it is also beneficial for CPD.

Delivered by specialist Consultant Histopathologists who are experts in their field, and Biomedical Scientists who are undertaking advanced dissection of histopathological specimens, this course can be taken in full or as individual one or two-day modules.

Mandatory Modules covered:

  • General Principles of Specimen Dissection
  • Clinical Governance
  • Surgical Procedures
  • Pathological Processes
  • Anatomical Nomenclature

These are covered over two days.

By modules £160 per day

Regional subsidised fee of £15 per day for NHS participants from the North West, North East, Yorkshire & Humber, East Midlands and West Midlands regions.
