1-Day Update in Gynae Cytology (ThinPrep) – Invasive Audit: What Have We Learned?

The national invasive cervical cancers audit has been in operation since 2007, with the initial aims including the identification of educational and service improvement outcomes.

Some fifteen years later it could be suggested that we have learned all that we can from the audit. Similarly, some feel that it now exists to identify cases requiring duty of candour and serves to feed the process of litigation. So, after so long, how has the process evolved and what have we learned? This update aims to reinforce some of the lessons learned and provide a forum for discussion of any potential future benefits.

The last talk will review causes, classification and management of cervical cancers.
