1-Day Update in Gynae Cytology (ThinPrep) – Pitfalls

It is an NHSCSP requirement that all qualified staff undertaking cytology screening undertake three days of update training consisting of a minimum 50% of microscopy every three years. This cytology update day will include a short lecture which will cover general pitfalls and reminders, a quiz and workshops. The workshops will comprise a wide variety of cytology cases to include both squamous and glandular pitfalls and corresponding histology where appropriate.
